Oncoswim 2026: 10 years swimming for a great cause
Oncoswim opens registrations on January 19th with a very special edition. In 2026, we celebrate 10 years of shared strokes in support of the fight against triple negative breast cancer. Ten years of sea, collective effort, and real commitment.
Driven by Fundació Oncolliga Girona and Radikal Swim, Oncoswim is much more than an open water swim. It’s a life-changing experience that brings together swimmers, support crews, volunteers and partner organizations who share the same way of understanding sport: with purpose, values and impact.
This 10th edition will take place on May 30th, 2026.

10 years making a real impact
Over the past decade, Oncoswim has raised more than €500,000, a figure that reflects the strength of a project built through collective commitment and year-round involvement.
From these funds:
-
€375,000 have been allocated to research into triple negative breast cancer.
-
€133,000 have gone directly to supporting people living with cancer and their families, through the care and support services of Fundació Oncolliga Girona.
Year after year, teams return to the sea knowing that every stroke counts — and that the impact goes far beyond the sporting challenge.
An iconic open water crossing along the Costa Brava
Oncoswim 2026 stays true to its essence:
nearly 30 km across the Costa Brava, starting in L’Estartit and finishing in Calella de Palafrugell, passing iconic locations such as the Medes Islands and the Formigues Islands.
Teams can be made up of up to 7 swimmers.
There will be:
-
20 teams with organization-provided boats
-
5 teams with their own support boats
Each team must make a €600 donation, which will be fully allocated to Fundació Oncolliga Girona.
Dive headfirst into the adventure
Under the slogan “Dive headfirst into the adventure”, this edition pays tribute to everyone who has been part of Oncoswim over the past 10 years — while also inviting new teams to join the challenge.
